All four in the living room looking at each other and their fight gets started. geet watching from upstairs. Nando preeto says that we thought you are changing. Lucky dev also says that we thought teh same but you didnt changed. Nando and preeto curses both of them. Geet says that before their fight gets more i have to tell them the truth. Occupy Wall Street is... a movement that has wisely shunned the one-note, pre-chewed, simple-minded messaging required for cable television as it now exists....

The mainstream media... has no idea whatsoever of how to report on a story that isn't about easy fixes so much as it is about anguished human frustration and fear....

While the mainstream media expresses puzzlement and fear at these incomprehensible "protesters" with their oddly well-worded "signs," the rest of us see our own concerns reflected back at us and understand perfectly....

Okay.  The media doesn't get it. Check. Now, look at the final paragraph.

By refusing to take a ragtag, complicated, and leaderless movement seriously, the mainstream media has succeeded only in ensuring its own irrelevance. The rest of America has little trouble understanding that these are ragtag, complicated, and leaderless times. This may not make for great television, but any movement that acknowledges that fact deserves enormous credit.

Adam Smith -- Washington Post Speaking to an audience at the American Enterprise Institute Thursday, Rep. Adam Smith (D-WA), ranking member of the House Armed Services Committee, said that if the supercommittee does not recommend raising revenues, the defense budget will be "crucified." The congressional supercommittee is tasked with shrinking the deficit by more than a trillion dollars, but Republicans have vowed to defeat any proposal that raises taxes. The Pentagon's budget ($671 billion was proposed for 2012) has been at the center of attention over where to make budget cuts.
